Seems having "tell the admin to get off his lazy ass" made it through the review process but not when one of the team actually started using the plugin 
This branch corrects that to less-offensive language, removes a $foo that shouldn't have been left in the code, and cleans up the readme file.
UPDATE: branch merged into core on 2010-12-25. Hooray!
