This is mostly a technical-minded branch. The idea is that to make a custom page without this branch I have to edit a template file. Or, a file in each template if the page might show up on more than one blog and each blog uses a different template. With this branch I can follow a specific naming convention for the file and core will figure it out from the value of $disp.
UPDATE: branch merged into core on 2011-07-12. Mission Accomplished!
