Another in a long line of "we broke it and didn't notice so now we gotta fix it" branches 
Seems way way back we did a branch that mostly focused on better coding, and it was, but it broke something rarely tested: podcasts. The problem is when you make a post be a type=podcast it never shows up on the blog. The solution (for now!) is to basically undo that branch from so long ago.
UPDATE: branch merged into core on 2011-07-15. Hallelujah!
